Meet our Staff
Mark Walker
lead pastor
Mark, his wife Julie, and their boys Matthew and Caleb, joined the FBCW family and team in August 2019. Mark has previously served at churches in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama with most of those years spent in student ministries. When he’s not spending time with his family, Mark is usually going on a run or watching movies and sports. He is a huge Star Wars fan and even has a light saber hanging in his office. He is excited for what God has in store for the future of FBCW and the Weaver community.
Jared Holland
worship leader
Jared has served as the FBCW worship leader since 2016 alongside his beautiful wife, Kelli. His favorite place to eat after church on Sunday is “Nana’s.” He enjoys frisbee golf, racquetball, bull-riding, water-skiing, and playing games with his three awesome boys: Carrson, Camden, & Cadence. His greatest desire is to help others release any distractions in life to welcome true worship of the Almighty God through song, authentic relationships, and a life well lived with divine purpose in mind.
Matthew morrison
student minister
Matthew joined the FBCW family in December 2021. He loves students and believes that they have a tremendous impact on the Kingdom of God. In his free time, Matthew loves to read really old books, especially if they’re written by Charles Spurgeon. He is fond of hunting, fishing, and any other outdoor activities enjoyed with his family. Matthew aims to help students mature as believers and bring glory to God with their lives.
TIM SHUMAKER
children’s minister
Tim and his wife Penny joined the FBC Weaver family in August 2022. They have two adult daughters, Brittanny and Tabitha. Tim is a Navy veteran and has been in ministry for over 20 years. He has served as both a pastor, but, mostly as a children and family minister. He is also a writer, balloon artist, and illusionist. Tim is an avid literature, art, and science fan. He loves to find new and creative ways to present biblical truth. His great desire is to introduce kids to Jesus and partner with parents.

Loy joined the FBCW staff in 2009 after her sister Vickey had worked the same position. When she’s not working, Loy enjoys antiquing and thrifting with her husband, Greg. Loy has two Etsy shops that she spends her free time working on. Her favorite after-church, lunch spot is Garfrerick’s.
